A dancer all her life, Carrie spent her first twenty years on stages and in halftime shows. After college, dance took a backseat to starting her post-grad life. Feeling the stress and anxiety of this transition, she stumbled into a power yoga class and immediately realized it was this connection to movement that her body had been missing for far too long. Having practiced other styles of yoga before but never experiencing a fit, she fell HARD for vinyasa flow. Mindfully linking breath to movement made her feel strong and present in each moment. As her practice grew, she became inspired by the way physical awareness translated to mental awareness; and she knew she needed more.
Carrie received her 200 RYT training through Power Yoga on Main in the spring of 2018. Focusing on alignment and breath, she prioritizes an uplifting approach to a dynamic flow. She strives to help her students explore their practices, hoping they will be surprised by what they learn and feel empowered when they leave. Carrie’s mat is her happy place, and she is super grateful to share it with you!
